Zena Shekarabi

President & Broker

A proven business leader, Zena has earned a reputation amongst lenders for her dedication to finding the best mortgage solutions for both her clients and her lenders. She is also known for her unique ability to protect the interests of both client and lender, whatever the circumstances of the transaction. This is undoubtedly key to her success. Zena has a notable client list, including some of the largest real estate developers and builders in Ontario. Her clients also include financial institutions involved in all aspects of commercial, residential and construction real estate lending. Zena practiced as an accountant for 12 years in Iran before settling in Canada. She graduated with honours in her Bachelor degree at York University in 1997. After a year in the car finance sector, she moved into the mortgage broker industry – quickly and impressively securing her success as a leading advocate for her clients in the industry. She is also a community role model, volunteering for her local community of which she is now firmly a part. In 2015, Zena established her own brokerage firm, Zena Shekarabi & Associates, with six other associates, following many years of experience in the mortgage industry. In just a matter of months, the firm is already expanding – reflecting the notable success Zena and her colleagues are seeing in the business

Ali is the firm’s brand ambassador, consistently establishing strategic relationships with affiliated companies. Ali’swork in the mortgage industry dates back to 2004 and, since then, he has won multiple awards in recognition of his achievements.To consolidate and build on the success of his mortgage brokering, Ali helped established ZSA Mortgages in 2015. The primary focus of his practice is on fund raising for private mortgages, with an increasing emphasis on development finance. Originally from Iran, Ali arrived in Canada in 1990. Since then, he has become well established in the community, with charity work an increasingly important part of his life.

Asal Etemadi

Office Manager

Asal Etemadi is a mortgage agent at the firm, with an emphasis on providing a fast and professional service. She is known particularly for her ability to offer clients a prompt, efficient and high-level solution to their financial needs. Asal joined Zena Shekarabi & Associates in January 2014 and, since then, has successfully built up her practice with the firm. She has notable experience with a variety of administrative boards and compliance auditing at major organizations such as TD Canada Trust. Before joining the firm, Asal worked as a Commissioner of Oaths and a Legal Assistant at GTA Closing Centre where she specialized in real estate closings. She is fluent in Persian and English. Away from work, Asal is a volunteer with a number of non-profit organizations including the Sanfilippo Children\'s Foundation. She is involved with several fund raisers in an effort to raise awareness and help those in need.Asalhas traveled extensively – from Fiji to the Middle East; to Europe and North America – earning her a uniquely broad perspective on life and practice.
